About the Show

Go To Your Room and Make Stuff. The podcast about making art, any kind of art, all by ourselves in a room or studio or with headphones. Specifically -- art we make by ourselves. No one is telling us when, where or how... or any combination of those things. This is a podcast for solo artistic adventures and those who are doing it and those who want to try it.

Shana Pennington-Baird

Shana Pennington-Baird

Shana Pennington-Baird is a Seattle actor, playwright, voice actor and aortic dissection survivor. When she's not playing with her puppets, she plays a 26-string Celtic harp, spends a ton of time journaling at local coffee shops, and voices the occasional animation show and violent video game. Shana's latest project is called "Broken Wide Open." After premiering at the Edinburgh Fringe Fest to rave reviews, including one reviewer's "Pick of the Fringe", "Broken Wide Open" is available on Audible.com. Shana has thirty years of professional theatre experience and she is the founder and director of the Seattle Voice Academy. She teaches vocal health, voiceover and singing. Currently she is working on a book called "My Triology of Ologies" about her aortic dissection, two strokes and breast cancer diagnosis -- all in a six month period, five years ago. In her spare time, she plays with her corgi and German Shepherd and camps in a vintage trailer.
